Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and our apps keep your data on your own device whenever possible.

What we collect

• When you buy: Link, Stripe’s checkout service and our reseller, collects your name, email, billing address and payment details to process the order. We receive your name, email and what you bought. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy covers how they handle your payment.
• When you contact us: if you email, call, use the “Start a Project” form, or ask us to tell you when an app is ready, we get what you send us (like your name, email, phone and message). These forms are saved in our own system on Cloudflare (our website host) and sent to our email. We only use a “tell me when” email to let you know that app is ready.
• When you visit the website: our site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps basic technical logs (like IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site. We don’t use advertising trackers or sell visitor data.

Data inside our apps

• Foreman saves your plans on your own phone or computer. Wall photos you take stay on your device.
• Travel Translator translates on your phone. Your conversations are not sent to us.
• RLF Business (business expense and mileage tracker) keeps your records, receipt photos and settings on your own phone. Nothing is sent to us. The only time the app sends anything off your phone is if you turn on Google Drive backup — see below.
• DataShield will keep your information on your device unless you choose otherwise. If a future feature needs to send data anywhere, we’ll say so clearly before you use it and update this page.

RLF Business: Google Drive backup (optional)

RLF Business can back up your records to your own Google Drive. It is off until you tap Connect Google Drive in the app, and Google shows you which account is used and asks your permission first.

• What the app can access: only the files and folders the app itself creates in your Drive (Google’s “drive.file” permission). It cannot see, open or change anything else in your Drive. It also reads your Google account’s email address only to show you which account is connected.
• What it saves: a backup file of your app records, receipt pictures, settings and change history, in a folder named “RL Forge Business Backups”. Private info you locked in the app (like a tax ID) stays encrypted inside the backup.
• Where it goes: straight from your phone to your Google Drive. It never passes through RL Forge Works, and we cannot see it. We do not store, share, sell or use your Google data for anything else, including advertising or training AI.
• Turning it off: in the app, Settings → Backup → Google Drive → Turn off (this takes back the app’s permission), or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Backups already in your Drive stay there until you delete them.

RL Forge Works’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use your information

Only to deliver what you bought, give you access to your app, answer your questions, send important updates about your purchase, and keep the website running. We don’t send marketing emails unless you ask for them.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run the business: Stripe and its Link service (orders and payments), Cloudflare (website hosting) and our email provider. We never sell or rent your personal information. (RLF Business backups go to your own Google account, not to us.)

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you. Email us and we’ll take care of it. Some order records must be kept for tax reasons.

Children

Our apps and store are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
